About The Company
The Company was originally incorporated in São Paulo in 1968 by Mr. Albert Leberecht Reichenbach Jr., a German descendent, who, since the inception of the Company, was the representative in the Brazilian territory of the German Insurance Market Associations - Verein Hamburger Assecuradeure – VHA of Hamburg and Verein Bremer Seeversicherer e.V. – VBS of Bremen, later on both Associations were joined in the VHT – Verein Hanseatischer Transportversicherer e.V.- Association of Hanseatic Marine Underwriters.

Since the inception of the Company, Mr. Reichenbach Jr. was the managing director and his son, Albert Leberecht Reichenbach Neto, was his principal assistant. In the year of 1990, after the death of both Mr. Reichenbach Jr. and Mr. Reichenbach Neto, the company was temporarily managed by Mrs. Renate Reichenbach and Mrs. Magrid H. Reichenbach, widows of Mr. Reichenbach Jr. and Mr. Reichenbach Neto, respectively. In 1991 Mr. Salvador Picolo and Mr. Antonio Carlos Rodrigues, graduate engineers and well known surveyors, joined the Company.

The Company accepts instructions for all type of surveys, including but not limited to: damage to cargo and properties, nautical, warranty, loss control, risk assessment, investigations, recoveries, salvage operations, wreck removals, and special engineering and transportation projects.
A. L. Reichenbach Representações Ltda. covers all Brazilian ports and hinterland cities, with strategic associated offices located within the Brazilian territory, and is able to attend any casualty no matter its location.
